Safeguarding and Wellbeing

CSS recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of its students, ensuring that relevant and effective safeguarding practices exist and are actively promoted within the service.  Where concerns are raised about students’ safety or well-being, we will do our best to help and support them, but there might be situations where we may need to pass these concerns onto the local Children’s Services Department and appropriate external agencies for consideration and support.

A range of personal support is available to students within the Service:

Counselling Service
Engagement Mentors
Independent Careers Advice
Learning Support

Students will also have access to ongoing support through their allocated Personal Tutor.

If you as a student at CSS have any concerns about your well-being, safety or rights then you should:

Talk to your Personal Tutor.
Talk to an Engagement Mentor.
Talk to any member of Staff.

We will also keep this page updated with links to websites that we feel may be of use to you.
