Holocaust Education

In 2013, Children’s Support Service became a UCL Beacon School in Holocaust Education. 2016 saw CSS receive the prestigious UCL Quality Mark in recognition of our continued commitment to Holocaust education. In March 2022, it became only the second school to be reaccredited as a Quality Mark UCL Beacon School.

It is our belief that all members of the CSS community are entitled to quality, challenging and engaging Holocaust education. This vision has created a culture and pedagogy whereby learning has been a shared teacher and student experience…we learn together.

CSS has received national and international acclaim for its work in this field and has worked closely with both the Prime Minister’s Commission and the Home Office in shaping future policy on Holocaust Education.

It has also been the subject of academic study and discussion with our lead teacher presenting key-note speeches at national and international conferences. More recently our work has been the subject of papers published in prestigious academic journals.
